A chiropractor is a doctor who is specifically trained to work with the spine and the bodies joints as they relate to the nervous system. At American Injury Alliance many of our front line providers are Doctors of Chiropractic, and they will be the gateway providers for each of our patients. Chiropractors utilize hands on approaches to help fix areas of spinal fixations, called subluxations, that can cause nervous interference not only in the spine but also in many other areas of the body, including our organs. A chiropractor is trained to help some of the most common injuries that occur in a traumatic injury like a motor vehicle accident or a workplace injury. These injuries are ligament sprains, muscle strains, muscle spasms, concussions, joint pain, and a variety of other injuries. In addition, a chiropractor is trained on finding injuries that they cannot treat and referring you to where you need to go. This may be an internal referral, for physical modalities, medical or even surgical consults, or a referral for a specialist in the American Injury Alliance network.

It is important that your doctor have his initial evaluation and get you set up with some X-ray imaging so that he can rule out more serious injuries like fractures, tumors or infections. Once your evaluation is complete, your Chiropractor can make a treatment plan for you. It is important that you follow this treatment plan as closely as possible in order to help you both heal on time but also to help your overall case.

Chiropractic is often the first step on the road to recovery for any patient involved in a motor vehicle accident. Our Doctors will work with you in getting you providing treatment options, will refer out for imaging and will make sure we work with your attorney while you are in the active phase of treatment.

Once you have completed your treatment you are welcome to continue coming in for regular maintenance treatments with your Doctor. Most of our Chiropractors are more than happy to continue working with you after your case has settled. For more information, feel free to ask your Doctor.
